In addition to “stored water”, we have a 15,000 gallon cistern that is fed from rainfall on the roof of our home. A rain gutter system from both sides of the roof is connected at a single junction, filtered, and then is directed into the cistern. A normal rainy season is more than adequate to re-supply whatever is to be used….
