Yes, you layer the tortillas. It's like lasagna. If you're using canned beans, I would rinse them. Don't just throw in the whole can. Enjoy!

Do you put all of the tortillas on the bottom and only layer the beans and cheese mixture? Or are the tortillas part of the layering so you only put half on the bottom and the other half at the beginning of the second layer? The recipe also says to wash and cook the beans. Is this applicable for the canned beans too? or is this if you are using dry beans?

There shouldn't be any need to "log on" to our site. You can see everything
without logging in. You don't need to log in to comment either. Is there
something in particular you are trying to do?

This is a great chronicle of your journey the past year. It totally is amazing! (and a little bit intimidating). But your advice to start slowly and try one thing or the other in the techniques is great advice.

We tried this and found it was absolutely delicious. I did tweek it by adding corn. Thanks for a great recipe!

I didn't have a can of enchilada sauce and got to wondering what was in it. I found this recipe that is a hundred times better than any canned sauce, IMO. It makes 5 cups so there's enough for next time, too.
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Enchilada-Sauce-2/...
