I saw these and they caught my eye. My mom had some when I was young but never filled them so I had no idea of their size. Living in an apartment I have no room for the drums or other water storage methods. After looking all over for the size of the box when filled with no success I contacted Emergency Essentials to see how big they are to see if they would work for me. Here is their answer...

The dimensions of each of those boxes is 15"L X 5"W X9 1/2"H. We recommend stacking them up to 3 high, but not any higher.

I hope this helps others like it has me. I will be buying them next month.

The recommendation from Emergency Essentials was that you only need to change the water every 5 years. I don't know of an official shelf life or warranty but that sounds pretty sturdy to me!

The boxes look great! But when I told my in-laws about it, they were a little skeptical. My father-in-law told me that the seams would probably start to leak over time. Do these have a "shelf life" or warranty?
