Each member of our family pack thier own backpack with clothes food and emergency needs and store these by our sleeping bags (parents, make sure you double check these). This summer give them a test run. Give your family 15 min warning and go camping for three days only with the supplies that you can grab in that 15 min. On the drive home talk with your family about what you would do if it was a real emergency, what you should have in your 72 hour kit but did not and if you packed foods that you would really eat. This is a great fun way to check your 72 hour kits.
