Really there is so much that I feel I still do not know about being prepared. I know that doing my best will be enough for God though and he will help provide the rest for me. I would like to learn more about what others found useful in an emergency situation.

The same way you'd carry the children. You couldn't carry them for long. Invest in a child's wagon or two - one of the larger sized ones with sides on it. It would make a great family Christmas present. And in case of emergency, you can tow tots and supplies in it. Or invest in a small garden cart. That would also let you tow children and supplies

I use the same grinder for my rice that I grind my wheat and beans with. You don't need separate grinders for the rice.
