I found the same recipe two years ago for our son's birthday - he wanted a jedi light saber (we entered that stage of parenting - The Star Wars Years - LOL) and it worked out really well. :) It was much easier than dealing with almond paste and gave me time to work the fondant (although I didn't roll it thin enough) and make the cake look good. :) Congratulations on making the fondant!

I found the same recipe two years ago for our son’s birthday – he wanted a jedi light saber (we entered that stage of parenting – The Star Wars Years – LOL) and it worked out really well. :) It was much easier than dealing with almond paste and gave me time to work the fondant (although I didn’t roll it thin enough) and make the cake look good. :)
