Hey kids. (at 73 I can safely say that).

I purchased a Wondermill and other neat things from you all and it is a great mill. For me it was purchased for when it hits the fan. For daily use, however, my wife uses a Vita-Mix. She puts in the wheat and the VM will grind it from cracked wheat, to flour, to powder (if you wish). After the wheat is ground she puts in all the other bread makings and in less than a minute the dough is ready for the baking pan and the rising process.

In addition to bread it seems to do everything well. Grinding wheat, coffee, flax seeds, etc. Also makes super smoothies.

I have a KTec and love it! It takes no time at all to grind a whole #10 can of wheat and it takes up so little space. I do not have to grind in my garage, though sometimes I do outside because I tend to grind while my babies are sleeping. To Christine's post, Crystal posted a new video saying how she hadn't read her directions (which you should always do!) and wasn't using hers properly, and that is why it was expelling flour everywhere. So everyone be sure to read your directions!

I can tell you from personal experience that I LOVE my WonderMill. I used a hand-grinder before purchasing, so I really did look around and research, because of price. As Jodi states, it is an investment, but it is worth it. I use mine almost every day and not once have I thought I made wrong decision on getting it.

Hi Mary, As a starting point, check out this comparison chart of the popular mills: http://pgward.org/ep/wp-content/uploads/2009/03... We used that to know which ones to test and then we tried them all out for ourselves and we agreed with their findings. WonderMill was quieter, faster, and cleaner than the KTec plus it has a bigger capacity. And from others who have a mill they seem to last a VERY VERY long time. We considered this a long term investment so we were willing to spend a little more money to get something that was better. However, if you are on a tight budget the KTec will work just fine. Our personal opinion is just that it is worth the extra money to get a better quality grinder. Hope that helps!

So, not that I have the money for a wheat grinder, but I'm a little confused as to which one is the best. You guys rave about the Wondermill, but then Crystal at Everyday Food Storage raves about the K Tec wheat grinder. Which one is better?
