Feed the Hungry
The inspiration for this project came from the #LightTheWorld campaign found on Mormon.org. The campaign includes daily challenges to “Light The World” with Christ-like service during the Christmas season. On day 21 (which is today) the focus is to Feed the Hungry: “For I was an hungered and ye gave me meat.” (Matthew 25:35). So, our goal for this cookbook is to provide people with freezer meal recipes they can use to bring people meals in times of need or for their own families.
Included in this cookbook are the following sections:
- Tips for beginners
- Tips when bringing meals
- Tips when bringing freezer meals
- Who may enjoy freezer meals
- Tips on preparing freezer meals
- Freezer meal shelf-life
- Foods not to freeze
- Some items you may need
- Bulk freezer meals
- Breakfast food recipes
- Soups, stews, chilis
- Main courses
- Bulk recipe ideas
We hope you are able to use this recipe book for your own family and to bless the lives of others. Lifting the burden of another is true Christ-like service. We look forward to all the exciting new things 2018 will bring and we hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
