Please let me know what you think of this idea. I have approx 8-9 month so far except for the wheat, rice, oats & beans for approx 4-5months for us. I use a combanation of #10cans & vacume sealing other dry items. If this will work I could buy in bulk from the church & repackage into buckets. If not I will have to get most of my longterm storage in #10 cans. I south Louisiana I will not use a full bucket before it goes bad. Too much humity. I would just think it would make it harder to rotate through things. So it might be worth at least splitting it into two containers so you can be depleting one while the other one remains sealed.
