We’re SOOOO excited! Our Fun With Food Storage network is being featured on the Utah show Studio 5 all this week and we were on the show yesterday to talk about PLANNING your food storage. As most of you already know, we are part of the Fun With Food Storage Network where we have combined with two other blogs to help you learn to Plan, Buy, and Eat your food storage in fun and exciting ways. Well we have some fun new stuff happening over at the network site this week.

As a network, we have put out 10 brand new teaching helps for those who are interested in getting their families involved in food storage and emergency preparedness. Five of them are fun activities you can do with small children. The other five are family lesson plans that can be used any time or specifically for LDS family home evenings. As you can tell from our button on the side, we are part of the Fun With Food Storage Network which is a place to help you learn to Plan, Buy, and Eat your food storage all in one place on the web. We also have a forum, newsletter, monthly tv show, live chats, etc. It’s a fun place to hang out if you are obsessed with food storage Well our other two network members have some amazing news today that we just HAD to share because we are so excited for them!

Shauntell @ The Obsessive Shopper – Was mentioned on Good Things Utah this morning and will be featured on one of the morning news segments tomorrow morning on Good Morning Utah (channel 4), airing between 5 am to 7 am.

Crystal @ Everyday Food Storage - Just announced her new book which will be coming out late March (we can’t wait!). It’s called “I can’t believe it’s food storage”. We will let you know as soon as it’s available for pre-sale.

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for EVERYONE!

Thanks to Crystal from Every Day Food Storage, there is an easy, cheap, useful, present you can tell your significant others to get you. She has turned her most awesome handouts into fridge magnets! So no more running to the computer when you are in the middle of cooking using your food storage. Go on over to her site and forward the post to your husband. Seriously, this should be a no-brainer for them! (she had 500, and we just found out there are only 100 left – hurry)

We didn’t want to leave you girls without ideas. We have made an instruction sheet for creating your significant others a “72 hour kit for the office”. We also created a little tag you can print out and insert or attach to the kit. There’s no saying I love you like “I don’t want you to die at work!” For the full list of instructions and printable tags see the post from earlier today.

If you haven’t already heard, the FIRST episode of “Fun With Food Storage TV” is airing Wednesday at 7:00pm MST. It’s a video internet show we made – haven’t made it to cable yet In this episode we, along with Crystal from Everyday Food Storage, and Shauntell from The Obsessive Shopper answer questions about us that we received from readers, and Shauntell teaches us how to make the most delicious molten lava cakes you can create for the whole family on Valentine’s Day! Wow! The Fun With Food Storage Network has really taken off! Thanks to all our current readers for being so supportive and excited about our new venture. And welcome to all the new readers who are just getting to know us. Today our network was featured in a local Utah newspaper called the Daily Herald. Isn’t that exciting? You can read the article over at the Daily Herald Website. We are so excited to be spreading the word about food storage and doing it TOGETHER with you this year!
