Great site! I'm unfortunately preparing for the inevitable financial collapse all the while living paycheck to paycheck. There are great solutions here for apartment living and families/ couples of little means. Keep up the good work, it is much appreciated!!

Hi! Just found your site. Looks like I will be using your site a lot. Great job! I have a question. On your "Long Term Food Storage Calculator and Inventory Sheet", the printable, the standard per adult amount, is that for 1 year?

I've been working with your web site for several months now. Of all the available sites I find this one the easiest most well-thought out one around. Congrats ladies...and thank you!!

Hi Lacie, Our recommendations provide for a 2300 calorie per day diet for
adults based off of just these basic foods. Obviously if you supplement
with fruits and veggies etc you can eat less of these staple items. You can
read more about the recommendations at this link:
http://www.simplyprepared.com/basic%20food%20storage.htm Hope that helps!

I just found your site this week, and I'm LOVING it! I thank you for all of your hard work, and want you to know that the info you have posted is making a daunting task seem manageable. :)

My question is this...with your Long Term Food Storage Excel Calculator, how many calories per day are we getting? My plan is for 2 adults, 3 children, for 12 months. I haven't been able to find information to know if this will be a bare minimum of 1200 adult calories per day, or a heftier amount which I need to supplement with other foods to feel more like normal.

Again, I think you ladies are doing a great job, and I look forward to discovering more on your site. :)
