Volcano Grills

VOLCANO GRILLS

We were so thrilled when we found out about the Volcano Grills. They are collapsable camping stoves that are easy to store and easy to use. We love them because they work with a variety of fuels, and cook with pots and pans, grills, woks, or dutch ovens. We use ours for camping, eprep, and just for fun!

Opening and closing the Volcano Collapsible grill is very easy. In its closed position the unit is only 5” high x 15.5” diameter, by simply pulling up on the handle, the entire grill pops open to 10.5” high, the legs unfold, and you have a self-contained grill. To close the grill you lift up from the bottom, the grill folds in on itself, and the legs retract.

The Volcano Grill’s unique heating chamber channels the heat upwards towards your food, instead of wasting fuel by expelling heat out the sides and bottom. This also means that the area surrounding the grill is cooler, allowing you to cook with the grill on a variety of surfaces without damage from heat.

We are interested in this item. I went to their website, but did not find the info I am looking for. I need to know the full measurements to know if it will fit where we need it in our jeep. Thanks for the info and any help, Debbie

The grill when collapsed is about 18″x18″x6″. I haven’t measured it when it’s expanded, but it would be the same just about twice as tall. Hope that helps!

We will be purchasing the Volcano grill very shortly and are wondering if we purchase all the accessories does Insta-Fire come as one of the accessories? If so, how much as we are looking at ordering that also. Thanks for your time.

    • http://foodstoragemadeeasy.net Jodi – Food Storage Made Easy

Insta-fire is a separate product. Depending on which size you buy the price
is different. You can see prices and sizes on this page here:

We used our Volcano this weekend at a HAM radio field day event.  People had never seen it before and had a lot of questions.  One lady dragged her husband over and told him she wanted one.  We cooked a cowboy casserole (hamburger, chili beans, onion, green pepper, with cornbread/mexi corn topping in 12 qt dutch oven.  35 minutes and only 20 coals – ten top/ten bottom.   We haven’t tried to use it as a grill or the propane attachment yet. But it’s great for dutch oven cooking.

I tried to order the original volcano grill, but got an error message saying:

PayPal cannot process this transaction because of a problem with the seller’s website. Please contact the seller directly to resolve this problem.

Hope this is something that can be fixed soon!

I just did a test order and it worked for me. Could you possibly try on a
different browser or computer and see if it works? If it doesn’t, I can
send you a Paypal invoice and try to accept payment that way until we can
figure out what is going on with the site. Which grill were you trying to
purchase? The propane or the regular? Let me know. Thanks and sorry for
      the trouble! -Jodi

Just ordered mine. Approx how long does it take to receive? Can’t wait to try it out. My cast iron dutch oven is also on it’s way.

    • http://foodstoragemadeeasy.net Jodi – Food Storage Made Easy

      Lisa-
I’ll email you with the info :)

  • LGCS

Will be ordering soon. I think this is the perfect alternative for us. Can even use it in my tent as heat source. We live in the country & have plenty of wood. The Insta-fire would be good for inside the house during a power outage. So I think I will need to order some of that at the same time. Great product.

Would it be safe to use this stove indoors? would i be able to use solid fuel tabs instead of charcoal or wood chips?

    • http://foodstoragemadeeasy.net Jodi – Food Storage Made Easy

The ability to use it indoors depends on the fuel you use. You are
not supposed to use propane or charcoal indoors. Instafire can be
used indoors with proper ventilation, just like in your fireplace. I
think fuel tabs would work to heat it as well. it is just a vessel to
hold whatever fuel you choose to use.

  • sk

    thank you

  • sK

    Ah..so all of a sudden the $129.95 is missing….explaination?

    • http://foodstoragemadeeasy.net Jodi – Food Storage Made Easy

I just responded to your question below. They had raised their prices and we didn’t know so our prices on here were inaccurate. We don’t have any control over the pricing, we simply refer people to their site to make the purchase. We fixed the page to reflect the correct amounts now. Thanks for catching the mistake!

  • sK

The link takes me to the website but its for a retail of $149.95 not the $129.95!!!!!
    Please advise. Thanks!
    SK

Yikes I think they have raised their prices from when we first created
this info page. We are making the changes now to reflect their
current pricing. Sorry for the mix-up :( Usually we catch those
things quickly but this one slipped through the cracks.

I can’t get the link to order the grill to work. Help somebody!

    • http://foodstoragemadeeasy.net Jodi – Food Storage Made Easy

Linda, If you click the buy now button it should take you directly to
the Volcano Grills website. Then you will want to click on Volcano
Grills – Volcano Collapsible and then there are the two different
options to purchase from there. We get a small commission for
referring people to their website but we don’t sell them directly.
Let us know if you can’t get it to work. Thanks so much for using our
link to purchase your grill! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

Thanks so much for explaining just what the Volcano Stove, how many different types of cookware you can use with it, and for giving a diagram. I’ve seen it on sale for years and have been told, “You need a Volcano Stove.” Now I finally get it…and will get one when we have the money. :-)
