For the past five years I have gone through the Survival Mom Prepping Calendar and LOVE doing all the tasks and reading the monthly book recommendations. I usually start out pretty strong but fizzle out a little by the end as life gets busy and I forget about staying on top of it. This year I’m going to try to do a weekly post in my Facebook Group where we can all check in and share our successes and failures for the week, talk about the monthly book, highlight any deals we’ve found, etc.
I’d love for you to join me and share how YOU are doing with your tasks too so we can all stay motivated and accountable. Everything is more fun to do as a group and this project is no different.
What’s Inside
This calendar is always popular with my readers because it breaks P-R-E-P-P-I-N-G down into very small, commonsense tasks. That is the whole premise of Food Storage Made Easy … doing things in BabySteps! Prepping can be so daunting at times — the expense, worst-case scenario fears, conflicting information.
If you’re like me, you just want to be told, “Do this first. Now, do this next…” That’s exactly what the Prepping Calendar is all about. Take a look at some example pages:
This year’s calendar is a special edition commemorating the history of The Survival Mom. It highlights important milestones with her blog, her book, etc. I loved watching her journey over the years and it was fun to remember it as I flip through the calendar pages.
The calendar includes more than 150 simple and frugal prepping to-do tasks throughout the year. Plus, the always popular Book of the Month is featured with a fantastic new selection of books that feature survival from many different perspectives. You’ll find family-friendly activities, mental health tips, food storage guidance, and a whole lot more.
New this year is the 10-can project which I LOVE (check out my video review below to see why!) and also the “meal-stretcher stock-up”.

I’ve gone back and forth between digital and physical from year to year and this year I opted to snag both so I could have one on the wall in an easy-to-see place and the digital on my phone so I can look at it while I’m out and about. I also like to print a half size sheet of each month and tape it into my planner. The more places you have it the more likely you are to stay on top of it am I right?
Join the Group
If you’d like to work on the calendar in our group you can join in on Facebook. In past years we have discussed the book of the month together and also shared tips on completing the tasks and successes when we accomplish them. It’s fun to have support and a place to discuss it when we are all working on the same things.
Grab your calendar before the new year so you can be ready to start with me January 1st! They make great Christmas gifts too.
