If you have followed our blog for a while, you may remember that once a year we put on a SEVEN DAY CHALLENGE to celebrate Emergency Preparedness Month (September). The Challenge is a week long series of mock emergencies with limitations and tasks that change daily to help assess your level of preparedness. It’s a stressful week, but everyone that comes out of it feels so much better about what they are going to do to be more prepared going forward. We learn a lot and have some fun chatting about our experiences throughout the week on our blog and on our Facebook page.
We wanted to give NEW blog readers a chance to get caught up a little bit and ready for this year’s challenge. So first things first.
While the fun doesn’t begin until September, you can sign up at anytime to be included on our 7 Day Challenge email list. We will send out an email on a surprise day in September to let you know the challenge has started. (Please note: By signing up for the challenge you will also receive our FSME Monthly Newsletter as a bonus.)
Seven Day Challenge pages from previous years can help you prepare for the next challenge. We encourage you to check them out, and start preparing now! ARE YOU READY?

BONUS HINT
As you all probably know by now, we have been practicing up on our powerless cooking this summer, so you better believe that that will be a big part of this year’s challenge. To get a refresher on this topic, you may want to watch our Online Powerless Cooking Class again. We may be posting other hints as we get closer to the challenge. Good luck in your preparations!
