Hint #1: Subscribe to our RSS feed
Would you like to be notified whenever we publish a new post? Don’t forget to add our blog to your RSS reader. An RSS reader compiles all of your blog feeds into one location so you can easily see which sites have been updated. Our recommended viewer is Google Reader. Once you get the hang of it it is a really nice way to keep track of your favorite blogs. Just click on the “Entries RSS” link at the bottom right-hand side of the page and it will help you subscribe to your RSS reader of choice.
If you are intimidated by RSS feeds, we have a few other ways you can stay updated. If you become a fan of our Facebook Page we will be sending out updates whenever we add a new blog post. You can follow us on Twitter where we send out food storage tips and links to useful articles we find online as well as updates whenever we publish a new post. If you are not RSS, Facebook or Twitter savvy, you can simply send an email to info@foodstoragemadeeasy.net with “Subscribe” in the subject line and we will send you a quick email when something new has been posted.
Hint #2: How to Get Started
If you are just finding our blog, we suggest you navigate using the tabs at the top of the page or the “Main Topics” list on the left-hand side. These pages provide a game plan for you to follow and only include the most critical information about each aspect of your food storage. There is an avalanche of information available on this subject, so we have tried to really simplify it to make it feel less overwhelming.
Hint #3: Learn to Use Categories
As you get more comfortable with the idea of food storage, you will definitely want to start looking through our “Categories”. For example, if you are on “BabyStep 2 – Water” you can read the basics by clicking on that step under the Main Topics heading. But if you want to see what WE have actually done, or find extra little tidbits we have discovered about storing water, you will want to click on the word “Water” in the Category list on the right-hand side of the page. This will bring up a list of all the posts we have ever done about water.
We hope you find these hints helpful as you navigate through our food storage blog. Let us know if they are working for you!
