This month I am excited to feature some items from a new company I am testing out called Wise Harvest. They currently have a pretty limited product line but everything I have tasted so far has been amazing! They will be adding more foods as well as adding cans as an option in the near future but I recommend grabbing some to test out right away.
Two of my favorite items from Wise Harvest are the pineapple and the coconut so of course I had to make something PINA COLADA for this month’s Meal-in-a-Jar Recipe! And since it is Emergency Preparedness Month I love that this recipe does not require cooking so you can conserve fuel in an emergency 🙂

Pina Colada Oatmeal (Breakfast-in-a-Jar)
Jar Ingredients:
- 1/2 c. Oatmeal
- 1 T. Chia Seeds
- 3 T. Instant Milk
- 2 T. Brown Sugar
- 2 T. Freeze-Dried Coconut Chunks, broken into small pieces
- 1/3 c. Freeze-Dried Pineapple, broken into small pieces
Directions:
To make jar: Add all ingredients to a pint-sized jar in order listed. Add an oxygen absorber or seal with a foodsaver jar lid attachment. This makes a pretty jar, it’s actually easier to mix if you shake up the dry ingredients instead of leaving them in layers.
To prepare: Add 1 cup of water to jar and shake until well mixed in. Set in refrigerator overnight. In the morning stir up with a spoon and enjoy!
