Home / 7 DAY CHALLENGE / 2010: 7 DAY CHALLENGE

The Seven Day Challenge is our way of celebrating National Emergency Preparedness Month in September. The Challenge is a week long series of mock emergencies with daily limitations and tasks to help assess your level of preparedness. On a surprise day in September, participants are notified that the Challenge has begun. Most of the learning and fun occurs as we share our experiences through comments, surveys, and facebook.

Day 1: Natural Disaster -“Water Contamination”

Day 2: Dietary Limitation- “Cook all Food from Scratch”

Day 3: Terrorist Attack- “Electromagnetic Pulse”

Day 4: Economic Crisis -“Helping a Friend in Need”

Day 5: Natural Disaster -“Extreme Weather Conditions”

Day 6: Everyday Emergency -“Stranded with a Flat Tire”

Day 7: Every Day Emergency -“Surprise Visitors”

  • ROFL Day 6 actually happened to me….in a blizzard.  After attending an event, our SUV’s battery was dead. We got it jump started only to discover that we also had a flat tire. Our keys were not locked in the car but I have had this happen during another flat tire adventure.

Are the results to this 7 day challenge printable anywhere?  The last one had the results posted with the challenge.  I would like to see it in the same format as before so I can keep in my binder.  I went to the link for the facebook discussion, but never found the discussions.
