We Heart Pinterest Day 5: Gardening

Since we LOVE Food Storage, and LOVE Pinterest (see post here), each day until February 14th, we’ll be showing you some of our favorite Pinterest boards and neat things we have found and have pinned there! It’s so great to see and share what others have done.

Today we are highlighting our Gardening board. This board is a great place to find all kinds of creative ways to get growing your own vegetables! From growing in small spaces, to using your vegetables in cooking, to advanced gardening tips, there is something here for everyone.

Make sure you check out the rest of the items on the Gardening board. We’ll keep adding to that board as we find great stuff, and we’ll see you tomorrow to highlight another one of our boards!

  • Great minds think alike, I already had most of your pins, pinned myself! 🙂

    Dear ladies,

I love your blog and think you have some great resources. But this pinterest stuff is really strange to me. It seems like some sort of weird marketing thing and you definitely dont need to resort to gimmicks when your content is so strong on its own. I’ve got to unsubscribe from your RSS feed. It is too strange for me.

I hope you eventually get back to your original posting style which I thought was so awesome.

    Good luck!

    • Hi Meg, I think you might be misunderstanding how Pinterest works. We are so excited about it because it is an amazing way to find tons of wonderful information, ideas, recipes, etc. all over the internet. We want to encourage our readers to get on there and explore all the great resources. We are doing a 2 week feature of lots of the things that we have found and/or posted to help give people an idea of the kinds of things they can find so that hopefully they will be able to start using it for themselves and the things that they personally want to keep track of. We will be stopping this feature on February 14th and returning to our regular posting schedule so hopefully you will be able to stick around until then. If you take a little time to look at pinterest I think you will realize it is nothing to do with a marketing gimmick. It’s just something we found that is really helpful and we want to share it with people! Thanks for taking the time to let us know your concerns. Hopefully you feel a little better now. -Jodi and Julie
